Expozone specialises in building and developing interactive urban models using a range of Photogrammetry techniques and LIDAR. Accuracy levels can be determined from 10cm or better depending on the aerial photography available. Terrain and existing structure data can be delivered to you so that work on the proposed schemes can be done together. As a simpler option we build up a rough context model from an OS map if that is sufficient for a project.

MASSING. The first stage of the 3D process. Putting the blocks together. Blocks representing the size and height of apartments, retail units, parking, outdoor space, etc. are configured on the site in 3D. Colour coding can illustrate proposed usage, access or as required. Initial tests at this early stage show the effect of shadows, noise, access and space. We can look at it in context and very quickly resolve the main issues and define the next steps of the process. To get to this stage we only require some sketches with some block heights, our experience will help form the massing within the expected design parameters.
